- At 10.12 p.m. Departure to the city of Petrozavodsk by train.

* At 06.55 Arrival in the city of Petrozavodsk - the capital of Karelia - was founded in 1703 by the Emperor Peter the Great to provide support in his war against Sweden (1700-1721). Saint-Petersburg - capital of Russia at that time – dates back to the same year. In spite of its three century history Petrozavodsk remains an eternally young and dynamically developing town.
* Breakfast in a restaurant (Karelian cuisine). The restaurant is famous for the warm atmosphere of the Karelian house (“izba”) and high-quality service. Here one can taste traditional Karelian food.
Leaving Petrozavodsk for the settlement of Shala by hydrofoil.
Arrival in Shala and leaving Shala for the village of Kuganavolok by bus.
Arrival in Kuganavolok. The excursion to the visit-centre of the National Park “Vodlozero”.
* Lunch in a guesthouse.
* Departure to the village of Varishpelda.
* Arrival in the village of Varishpelda in the evening. The village of Varishpelda is located on the shore of Vodlozero Lake. The most part of the village is covered with meadows which used to be fields in the past and now these meadows are rich in different kinds of grass. Mixed types of forests are typical of Varishpelda as well.
* Accommodation in guesthouses.
* Dinner.
* At night birdwatching.
* During the night one can see the following kinds of birds: Nyctea scandiaca, Surnia ulula, Glaucidium passerinum, Aegolius funereus.

* Breakfast.
* The first group leaves Varishpelda for the village of Koskosalma.
Birdwatching (2-3 hours).
* Walking along the meadow path (3 km.) to the village of Kanzanavolok.
Birdwatching. Kanzanavolok is the biggest and one of the most beautiful islands in the lake of Vodlozero.
* Lunch.
* Departure to the island of Kolgostrov.
Birdwatching.
* During this day tourists can see the following meadow birds: Emberiza aureola, Falco tinnunculus Linnaeus, Milvus migrans Boddaert, Emberzia citrinella Linnaeus, Acrocephalus palustris Bechstein, Numenius arguata Linnaeus, Circus cyanus Linnaeus.
* Return to Varishpelda by boat.
* The second group takes a walk along the path to the village of Rahkoila.
* Birdwatching on the way to this village.
* Birdwatching in the village of Rahkoila.
* Lunch.
* Going to the village of Gostnavolok by boat.
* Birdwatching.
* Walking back to the village of Varishpelda.
* Tourists will have an opportunity to see the following meadow birds: Vanellus vanellus Linnaeus, Numenius arguata Linnaeus, Buteo Buteo,
and water birds: Larus minutus, Sterna hirundo,Gavia arctica Linnaeus, Larus ridibundus Linnaeus.

* Going to the village of Gostnavolok by boat.
* Birdwatching.
* Walking back to the village of Varishpelda.
* Tourists will have an opportunity to see the following meadow birds: Vanellus vanellus Linnaeus, Numenius arguata Linnaeus, Buteo Buteo,
and water birds: Larus minutus, Sterna hirundo, Gavia arctica Linnaeus, Larus ridibundus Linnaeus.

* Breakfast.
* The first group takes an eco path “Monastyrka” (17 km.). The ancient monastery trail used to connect Vodlozero Lake with the White sea many centuries ago. The path is famous for its 550 year- old forest. Also tourists will see a lot of interesting signs such as nests of big birds of prey.

* Lunch on fire.
Birdwatching on the bog.
Tourists will visit the tourist centre “Novguda” and will be accommodated there. This tourist centre is located on the bank of the river of Ileksa. The forest here is rich in bilberry and cowberry.
* Dinner.
* Sauna.
* Tourists will see the following night birds here: Bubo bubo Linnaeus, and bog birds: Grus grus Linnaeus. Taiga birds: Picoides dridactylus, Dendropos sp., Tetrao urogallus, Tetrastes bonasia, Sylvia communis, Parus major, Turdus merula.
* The second group will go by boat to the village of Zagorye and then on foot to the shore of Lake Pilmasozero. The place used to be a village, most of the territory is covered with meadows. Tourists can go fishing here and in autumn it’s possible to opt for a photo safari for bears.
* Lunch.
* Birdwatching.
* Accommodation in tents.
* Dinner.
